Subject: RE: Zidua Pro vs Zidua SC with Dicamba for preplant soybeans

NW Illinois
In my custom spray group we made the switch last year from Zidua Pro to Zidua. These are no till acres and we add dicamba or 24d, depending on which bean trait, with Powermax. We really like Zidua Pro, but if sprayed within a couple days of planting we had stand loss issues. Those issues where mainly on overlaps and when machine is over applying rolling out of corners or trimming waterways. In our weed spectrum here there isn’t anything noticeably different in weed control between the 2, just safer.
On another note, if you are considering a move to straight Zidua, there are other products like Anthem Maxx or perpetuo that are Zidua with burners added. They almost always will sell on an ounce per ounce equal use rate of Zidua cheaper then BASF Zidua. Example is 3.5 oz of Authem Maxx has 3.5 oz Zidua matching a 3.5 oz used rate of BASF branded. Last year BASF was around 675.00 a gallon and Anthem Maxx was somewhere sub 500.00 a gallon depending on where and when you bought it.
I added a couple comparison charts
