Had a good test this year for that. 1 field had no spring fertilizer, just planted green into cereal rye that had 150# potash applied in previous fall. The other field had spring applied potash, DAP, and AMS. The spring applied fertilizer field looked better visually all growing season but when i combined them the field that had no spring fertilizer out yielded the better looking field by a couple bushel an acre. Both fields where in the 80s so I really can’t complain about the recipe on either field
