Has anyone thought about putting an irrigation pivot on ground that traditionally wouldn't "need" it? Seems like every year we are trending dryer, wondering if we will start to see more pivots in non-traditional areas?

I’d like for someone to show me some soil around me that typically doesn’t need it.

We live where it doesn't rain..

Its almost impossible to get a crop loan without irrigation "here".. But then again we aren't paying $400 an acre rent either so there are tradeoffs.
