I did a search for a New Idea 8110 manure spreader, and I came up with a Kuhn Knight 8110 spreader.  Is this what you are referring to?

I've seen a number of side discharge manure spreaders around here, and most - if not all - are Kuhn Knight brand.  As mentioned they are best used with sloppy manure - read dairy manure from small daily-scape-and-spread operations.  IF you are dealing with mostly bedded pack, a rear discharge is probably a better choice.
