NW Iowa | I always sell middle of Dec at Sheldon on their IA green tag sale. This yr i wondering if i should wait till Jan.
The only thing is for taxes i'd rather have it under this yr, as i haven't marketed as much grain as normal.
Are the fancy calves still holding up in the sale barn?
I also will start calving first week of Feb and don't have extra pens.
I usually don't have a problem hanging in with the high end groups.
Had these genetics for 10 yrs, Paige angus(Laramie Wy) and PB Irish black bull. Bought him as 2yr old and he is now 12.
Calves are the exact same every yr.
Green tagged sept 11
Weaned Oct 15
No creep, no grain, no implants, and no antibiotics.
Silage and cornstalks ration.
Guessing 700lbs??
