Eastern NE KS
I recommend tapering off corid to the prevention level after the 5 day treatment level. Get your calves on a coccidiostat in their feed asap and keep them on it. Then you can remove the corid from water.

I'm in freezing and non freezing country. So my next weather event can be rain, freezing rain, or snow. This stresses my calves and can trigger a new coxx outbreak. I prefer bovatec in my started feed day 1. I also like to get calves into a roomy paddock where exposure to manure is reduced.

Bovatec is an ionophor and help with feed efficiency/performance. It allows you full prevention rate on day 1. Rumensin required a warmup lower treatment before using the full prevention rate.

Add one of these drugs to your calf feed and you will be pleased how nicely the manure pats shape up. If a calf still has loose manure, seek help from your vet. While I treat with sulpha drugs, your vet may use something else .
