Honey-Garlic Slow Cooker Chicken Thighs

This recipe has catsup. I don’t know if that is a concern for you. If it is, I would try making without the catsup.

6-8 skinless chicken thighs

Vegetables: sliced carrots, diced celery (I have written just carrots and celery. I think you could add potatoes, or bell peppers, or any other vegetable of your choice with no problem)

1/3 cup low sodium soy sauce

1/3 cup honey

½ cup catsup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1-2 Tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon basil or oregano

Layer chicken in bottom of slow cooker

Fill with chopped/ sliced vegetables

Wisk together: soy sauce, catsup, honey, garlic powder, brown sugar and basil/oregano.  Pour over vegetables.

Cook on Low for 6 hours.

Note:  use above measurements for 3.5-4 quart slow cooker; for 5-quart slow cooker, increase measurements by 50%

Note: you can substitute 6-10 pork chops for the chicken
