I saw a Hispanic guy I know gathering them off the ground so out of curiosity I asked if he planned to eat them and the answer was yes. Whether raw or in some kind of preparation I didn’t glean. People call them “bodark” trees around here, which is just an American-ization of “bois d’ arc.”
