Posting here 'cause I've seen too many pics of projects to believe that there hasn't been at least a touch of shopping.
Am finding, here, that its bloody tough to find suppliers of bearing, roller chain, sprockets, electric motors and the like.
Seems like motion industries has bought up all of the what used to be moderately sized and smaller distributors.
Means pricing is just stupid.
For example - - - online motion - - 40 chain w 96 teeth - - - pricing runs to over $650 can (cheapest is 130 or so).
I'd bet that if I called on stock that the expensive one is in stock and the cheaper ones are 6 to 8 weeks out.
Can't seem to find any weld-on hubs either.
Where do you get your power transmission products from?
(Dealers seem to think that they must get their stuff only from headquarters so their pricing is just gonzo (imo) as well!)
