Finally after 40 or 50 years the ADA and AHA have finally dropped saturated fat as a "food of concern" to be consumed. They don't shout out loud "hey we were wrong for all these years" but instead kind of just quietly drop the recomendation that it is dangerous. Not even really a whisper that it is ok to eat it. Just a drop of the subject.

Follow the money. Look who their big contributors are. "Don't bite the hand that feeds you" must be their motto.


I ran across the figure recently that per capita butter consumption in the US is 4.5 lbs per year. I think I eat about 50 lbs of butter/ year, plus maybe 14-15 lbs of fat in the milk I drink. I don't know how you could possibly get by on so little.
