The 945 has been the old standby tile machine laser transmitter, it transmitted slope in one direction, good for tile laying...It was sealed with inert gas, external power supply of 12 V is required.

We have an 1145, not sealed, rechargeable battery enclosed in the transmitter, slopes in both the x and y axis, good for tile laying, sloping parking lots, barn lots, etc.

We bought a 942 on Ebay for what we think is a good deal...the light on the 942 is very visible, not so with the 1145, but it CAN be seen, just not as prevalent as the 942...Usually when the laser light pattern can be easily seen, the transmitter has less range and is of lower=cheaper than the hard to see laser light.

Do you have a 942, and what are your main uses for it?..it has been out of production for more than 10 years...the rotating light is adjustable for speed, can even be stopped to shoot cats with I suppose.
