Middlesex County, Ontario
I have been using Brother laser printers for many years now. Their software and drivers are a dream compared to other brands. I used to hate scanning, its so easy now. laser printers don't continually purge nozzles with waste ink to keep them from clogging, so laser is perfect for intermittent use.

Here is a list of XP compatible brother laser printers: https://support.brother.com/g/s/id/common_download/en/x64_model_list...

Print to .pdf and using a USB stick to transfer to another computer is always possible.

I've had success in the past by rinsing the clogged ink head under hot water in the sink. Dry the ink head on your furnace register. An alcohol rinse between would be wise if you have some pure isopropyl.
