| I am newer to feeding cattle, have raised a few now, but just got a couple groups of weaned calves a couple weeks ago. They are in a barn and open lot with feed bunks.
I am feeding them with buckets twice a day, and taking them to finish to sell as freezer beef. I have read everywhere: “Feeding cattle is both a science and an art” and “You will learn a lot feeding cattle by hand with buckets everyday”, but I want to speed up this learning.
So, if you have any advice, let me hear it! What should I be looking for and learning while feeding.
Behavior/Manure/Intakes/Body Condition/Amounts to Feed
Thanks in advance.
