Fermented crops, you want to Ziplock, push air out and keep them cold.
As soon as silage hits air, bacteria will start to work on it(heating it).
That's why they preach to diaries to keep feed fed up.
Mixing a load and let it sit, will pull milk numbers down.
That being said, i am guilty of it for my beef cows.
Good silage only runs in the 80-90 degree range.
Hot silage is spoiled silage.
