SE Michigan | It has been a terrible year for corn drying down which also doesn't help mold. Our fields have a fairly large amount of diplodia and the first load hauled in yesterday had a vomitoxin level of 9.5( moisture 26%). I usually fence in a small cut up chunk of corn stalks and let my 7 sows clean up the corn over winter. How big of a worry is the diplodia/vomitoxin on pregnant sows? They were just bred about 3 weeks ago. Am I better off putting 100 lbs feeder pigs on it or nothing at all?
