Embarrass WI
I had what you have, maybe about 10 years ago. It was painful to lift my arm higher than my head. Surgery ground off the "fairly common abnormality" bone spur and "cleaned up" my rotator cuff. Said it wasn't completely torn and he couldn't fix a partial tear. I was diligent with my therapy and my shoulder became pain free, regained probably 80-90% of strength.

Now, at almost 67, the doc(different one) says my shoulder is just wore out and should be replaced but as long as it doesn't get too painful I should put it off. So I'm waiting as long as I can.
