W Texas | I just looked and saw the same report.
There is no way it’s correct. Oklahoma hay price is basically always the value of hay in TX Panhandle and Eastern NM minus the freight. It’s been that way for 20 years!
Those reports are based on telephone calls to some local brokers and they are usually trying to fudge the numbers in their favor. I know this for a fact.
So 370-390 to TX Panhandle from TX report minus freight is around 300 for Central OK and 320 Western OK.
Not sure if you can get it online but there is a local classified for Western OK out of Elk City called the Penny News. Usually some hay ads in there. | |
