Farmerjonathan - 10/23/2023 14:21 Have you had a hard frost? Always read that the tops were delicious but the turnips weren't palatable until after a frost. Also is "choke" a concern with them eating turnips?

We had our first hard frost this morning. I've been taste testing the turnips; they were still bitter last week.

The cows are eating a few bulbs now, it'll be interesting to see if they eat more of them as it gets colder.

I think they feel the bulb coming and then bite off the top. Haven't had a choker yet, anyway.
