I like the kind with the little fire hose type lever in the back. It is one the kids can water the garden with, because it doesn't take any hand strength to keep open. Just pull the lever one way to spray, the other for off. Here are a couple, the Gilmour is higher flow. One thing I like about them is that the handle forward is 'off' so pulling on the hose does not turn on the nozzle.
