Subject: RE: QuickBooks 99 and newer computer

I would imagine it’s possible as long as you still have the installation media and registration code.

1. Buy your new computer (will probably have Windows 11)

2. Install VirtualBox

3. Install Windows XP within VirtualBox

4. Install QB99 within Windows XP within VirtualBox within Windows 11.

Since you rely on a computer that likely has Windows XP I would speculate that everything I said is like a foreign language to you and you’ll have to do a LOT of studying to figure it out. Might be easier to find someone local to do it for you.

I will say that if you do the “easy button” of updating to a newer version of Quickbooks, you’ll be disgusted at how expensive it is. Forced subscription to even keep using it after a year on the newest version.

The last good version of Quickbooks Pro was around 2016.
