When I was a little kid I remember my dad taking out on the tractor for a day (B JD or JD620 timeline) with a water jug and a brown paper bag for a lunch. In the summer when the tomatoes were ripe a common lunch for him would be a scrambled egg sandwich and a big ripe tomato and salt shaker. He would eat it whole like an apple with a shake of salt as it was consumed.

John do You eat any tomatoes, cucumbers, apples, summer squash? I'd guess not. I always manage to shed a few pounds this time of year when I'm feasting on them.
