The reason I post it is it is a chance to get input directly from the lead author and researcher of a recent scientific paper on the subject (a couple of doctors that I follow and respect are also listed as authors). It is worth the listen if a person is interested and willing to put forth the effort to understand what he is talking about. Probably not for everyone because of its length.

A key statement he made : "If you don't want to make diet and lifestyle changes (for overweight, metabolically unhealthy, high blood sugar people) a statin may have benefit." Talks about cognition and other side effects.
