I would get more potting soil and finish filling the containers, more advantageous roots will come out from the stem and help relieve some plant stress. Make sure to only keep the soil moist not saturated. Tomato roots are fairly small and shallow and can’t handle being saturated for long periods of time, but also require frequent, shallow watering.
