NNW Nebraska | Cell phone keeps calling 911. Samsung a51 5g.
I talked to local cell phone store, they had n ideas.
To wake up my phone, I have to push the power button. Then swipe.at that point 911 button shows up. Then I have to draw my pattern to use my phone.
Tried setting it so it wouldn't do anything in a dark place. (Like in my pocket). That made it almost impossible to use the phone outside after dark.
Dispatcher told me that they are.getting lots of calls from various people. One guy left his phone in his pickup and it called 911. He also told me other 911 centers were also getting lots of these calls.
Or is it some jerk spoofing phone numbers and calling 911?
Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? If it hasn't already happened, somebody isn't going to get help when they need it.
