Yes, OXO is the way to go.
My 94 year old Mother got an OXO, and she told us 70-something young ones about it.
We bought it and it works, even with arthritis.
I ordered an OXO off ebay, its one of those that cuts the top-side and you can put the lid back if you are careful. Its different, not overly expensive and seems to do the job. Openers work till they dont. I wanted to have a backup... ha
