Subject: RE: Lipton instant tea

Mid MO
Grew up on boiled lipton. I don't mean brewed, I mean boiled! Black as your hat! Both my Grandmother's made it strong. Grandmother was unsweetened and Granny sweetened. Didn't help. At home. we made instant with moderate sugar and that was better than boiled. My Aunt made sweet tea. Half gallon with cup of sugar, a kids idea of perfection!

My folks switched to brewed Louisian (sp?) with some sugar. But we don't drink the gallons per day like when I was little.

My first "job" on the farm was to take tea to the guy's putting up pole shed on my folks place. About 2 in the afternoon every day. I was 5 :)
