I have ran into this before with an 8360R and 1775NT. My problem was in the 7-pin connector. It supplies power to the fold box and frame control solenoids. The problem started at the hydraulic compressor exactly as you describe then started causing problems with the frame control. Take the tractor and planter plugs apart and make sure the screws are tight that clamp the wires into the back of the connectors.
