I put mid to high 20s in on 15s every year. It's normal here.

Should easily out compete a clean field. Mine is barely cracking the ground now and was put in over knifed N and after cleaning out the bean planter on the field. I swear a heavy dew will germinate SS. I wouldn't go looking for moisture at depth, but I don't know how dry you are.

Would sure be nice if we could catch one of these rains.
