In an antique tractor magazine, I saw that someone had used an electric power steering unit from a junked car on an old tractor. It is a compact unit that goes into the shaft that goes from the steering wheel to the steering gear. Looked like a simple fix for an old tractor. I am sure the steering unit would need 12 volts to operate, but no hydraulics to mess with.
Did MM Model U tractors ever have power steering?
