Sac & Story county IA | I bought a used chopping head. It had a wedge with it. I used it one year with that. It cut the stalks about 4 inches tall. Blow like crazy. I took wedge out, cut stalks about a foot tall. Way less blowing. Sort of a snow fence every 30 inches. I think it is about the right combination for no till beans. I keep gearboxes full of synthetic gear oil. I have never had any trouble with chopping system. | |
