Wisconsin | Just from looking at their site, since I've never heard of them before, there's a reason everybody else runs pressurized systems and they are the only one to do it their way.
I agree that many systems are way more complicated than they have to be. I could guess why, but it doesn't matter. Like Mainefarmer has said, you can do all the plumbing yourself, cheaply and easily, and hook it to an outdoor boiler or water heater, very simply. Circulating pumps are simple, cheap and reliable, there's no way I would use any pump besides a Taco, Grundfos, etc. Pex plumbing is simple and reliable, no reason to change that either. I don't see the problem they're trying to solve? If you don't get off on lots of control panels and endless loops and valves, then don't do it that way. If you want a do it yourself simpler version, check out radiantec.
