NE IA | I cant answer a lot of your questions but one thing I will say is there is a lot of hoops to jump through. You will first need a comprehensive nutrient management plan done and if you build you will need to follow that. The tell you how much P, K, N you get to put on. 200# max for corn on corn. If you get a heavy rain and feel you need to put additional N on you have to ask permission to put more N (this is what really turned me off). Secondly as stated above it is a NRCS engineered building so it is way over engineered and inspected every step of the way so really I think you could build a building to your specs and be the same money. The last thing I will mention is that you cannot put anything but cattle in it for 10 years. | |
