That's a hay merger,it takes several windrows of hay and piles them into one for chopping. This area has several large dairy farms and they put up hay by the calendar regardless of the how much or little growth there is. It takes a lot of hay to feed the Claas or Krone self propelled choppers used to harvest the fields.
