Subject: RE: How can I keep hummingbirds out of my shop?

Floyd County, Iowa
I usually get one once in a while in my shop if I leave the small overhead door open where I pull my pickup in. I think they are attracted by the red tail lights or possibly the red tool cabinets. They can't find their way out the same small door even if I shut off all the T8 lights, so I have to open the 14' tall sliding door so they can see the outside, then they fly out. Have also had other birds (swallows, sparrows, and a couple robins) find their way in there, and have to open the sliding doors for them, too. Shop is lined with white steel , and I think the outside light reflecting in throws off their navigation/sight/brains.
