Supposedly they are immune to pit vipers like cottonmouth and copperheads. Not sure how many you have down that way but they will eat them and their eggs as well. Sounds like a pretty good guy to have around since you don’t see him and he takes care of other things. Neat find nonetheless


Unfortunately for him, if I came across a 4' snake that I didn't know what it was, he'd be in several pieces in short order. Good thing we don't have them around here.
