Don't think it will hurt the 3000 at all, but your trickle charger may not last very long in my experience
Had some bad luck with other trickle chargers, just went to this "battery maintainer" from Napa and it doesn't hold the battery at a constant voltage quite so high. Hoping it lasts longer than a year
