Earlton Ontario | In my neck of the woods Spring Wheat acres will be down in favor of cereals, soys and canola. Spring Wheat needs to move up $1.25 for new crop to compete for acres on my farm and needs to do it soon... But every board move right now gets squashed with retreat in basis. How does this compare to you guys in your areas?
On a side note, I just finished delivering JANUARY-FEBRUARY delivery contracts and my main Spring Wheat buyer doesn't want anymore this year... I usually carry 30-40% into Spring Markets... But looks like this stuff will end up having a birthday here on the farm. | |
