Had an uncle that lost all his toes on one foot. Walked with a tiny bit of limp but otherwise good. Seems as long as he had his ankle and most of his foot, he did really well, slight limp most of the time but good mobility. As time went by, they had to take his foot off at the ankle, and then it became really noticeable.
