The Ontrac 2+ should have male and female round 4 pin CAN connectors. That tee's into the CAN system. It's recommended to plug the correct end into the display cable first, that will leave the same style end for the Y splice to be installed.

Sorry I'm no help on the 20 pin Hardi system.
