LOL, seriously?

Quote: "who were identified because they reported eating a keto-like diet during a 24-hour period at the beginning of the study." "Researchers then analyzed health outcomes of the people for a nearly 12-year period."

Ask them what they ate one time at the beginning of 12 years, then followed up assuming that was the way they ate all 12 years.......................rrriiiiiiggghhtttt.

Look up some legitimate studies (IE not epidemioligy studies) and get some real results. First of all, these type studies can not determine causality, although headlines often imply they do. They can only be used to raise questions so real randomized controlled studies can be done. They can determine association at best, not causality, and are often full of confounding variables. They can help disprove a theory, but not prove it.

Also look at all cause mortality instead of just the narrow focus of heart disease. In the highest age group, high LDL is associated with LONGER life (all cause mortality), not lower. LDL is a very poor predictor of heart problems anyway. The ratio of HDL to triglicerides is about the only thing about cholesterol to even give much consideration. HDL high and triglicerides low is good, the opposite not so good. Small dense LDL not so good, but that a specialized test to determine and is caused by glycation (high blood sugar levels).
