Dryers do what they are supposed to. Not let water past it.
My last truck would ice up right at the line going into the dryer. I guess it would thaw out on nice days, water flow down and re freeze. Had to take fitting off dryer intake and dig ice out. Usually heated up a 1/4" piece of steel and push it in to melt the ice. Take dryer apart/ change cartridge if there is one.
