Northwest Iowa | For those wanting a low carb snack, try the "Dot's" brand chicharrones. Dot's is famous for their seasoned pretzels which are pretty tasty. I like the chicarrones better than some others as they are reasonably spiced. On another note, my daughter makes something like a cheese cracker snack. Just takes pepper jack cheese and slices it thin. She puts it on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and broils them for a few minutes. Lightly browned. Let them cool and remove from the parchment. Dang tasty and minimal (maybe none) carbs. | |
