You may still be confused. NTRIP means the correction messages are being transported by the Internet.

The thread you posted a screen shot out of is a guy that has a U-Blox receiver as a base station. He's sending his correction data to a server called RTK2GO. On that server his data stream is identified by the Name BALLOCH

http://www.rtk2go.com:2101/ will show you all the different base stations using RTK2GO
If you select the link SNIP's NTRIP Caster Table Decoder page on the bottom of the page
On the next page
[You can press the 'View All' button to see the Base Stations displayed on a map.]

Getting back to the thread you screenshot: The solution to his problem was sending the correct correction data (sorry) to RTK2GO that the FJD receiver needs. Those rtcm messages are the 1006,1008,1033 ect

Back to your question: Unless you're close (15 miles) you'll need a base station. If you're a Geek like WildBuckwheat or me you can assemble one for $500 ish.
