I didn't want to highjack the thread below. I'm looking for a portable hay feeder to supplement low quality hay to cows on stalks.
What's everyone like for a portable hay feeder?
If you're short of hay - - - think you are - - - any feeder with a skirt.
If you don't normally use bale feeders don't pay big buck to save feed - - - with low quality hay - - - you won't be saving enough to make up the difference.
Now if you have hay - - - roll out the bale - - - they'll pick through and what they leave makes for fertility.
Its one way of building soil - - - don't recommend if hay is real pricey though but if its low quality - - - that may actually be a very good use for it. |
