ecsd | No, I bought them this way. Both of these were sent to the Vietnam war to build runways and clear debris. After the war they were sent to Oregon to build airbases. They then went to public auction and a guy in Piedmont, SD bought them and put them on a train to SD and he took the pans off, put a locking torque converter put bigger engines in them and had a custom cab, modeled after the big bud tractor cab, on it and redid all the controls. The inside looks more like a big bud than the original 290m.
The guy built 3 and a half of these tractors before his health gave out. I have two of the three that were completely converted. The third one is near sturgis sd.
The only modification I did was to put a bigger hydraulic pump on it so I could lift my disk.
