Apparently you are going to use "loose" sockets. Put the ground to Pin 1 and 12V to the largest pin number which will be the furthest away from Pin 1.

You should still be able to do a continuity check between the fuse holder with the fuse removed and the largest pin number. Set the meter for resistance. Touch the two probes and the reading should go to zero. Then put one probe in the fuse holder with the fuse removed. Put the other probe on the pins in the connector one at a time until you see the meter go to zero again. If you get continuity then you have found the correct pin for 12V IN. If you don't get continuity then try the other terminal of the fuse holder and repeat.
