Subject: Shop air fittings

Central MN
Okay I don't even know which way to turn on this. I'm finally plumbing in "hard" lines and want to have all my drops and tools the same style fitting. (Obviously)

Currently my brothers tools from when he was a diesel tech are one, mine are another, and yet dad's are different too. (Dads are mostly at his place but wander over sometimes)

I have 5 double drops on 1" pipe. So I will have a 3/8 (for 1/2" hose) and 1/4 (for 3/8" hose) at each drop. 1/4 is the standard size and what most tools or hose has.

Question is what style do I get?? Im clueless. I remember a cabinet shop I worked at back in the day had a quick connect where you just pushed them together, that was super slick.. now with a Google search I see they make universal ones like that, that accepts any style fitting but has crappy cfm and psi ratings..

Help! Haha
