North Dakota | I don't know anything about pivots but, it depends on what you are using for correction. WAAS only corrects for U.S. GPS satellites. You might be able to see GLONASS and EGNOS sats on a plot map but they will not receive any corrections.
For a GPS fix you need to have at least 5 GPS sats and to keep that fix you need at least 4. Under normal operation "here" you will have at least 8 sats in view at all times and sometimes you will have 12-15. If you are using some type of paid subscription correction or RTK then you can get some that will correct for GLONASS and EGNOS.
All the Trimble receivers I am familiar with receive Russian and European sats but will only correct for the ones of your correction service. | |
