Subject: RE: The first signs of corn about to hit point of no return

WE have a sand ridge that will pineapple and can hit it with water (irrigated peice) and will come out of it to some extent. It's just a small part of field but have to treat it a little different. This past week, it pineappled and turned brown in spots. Never has corn went south that bad that fast. Talked to another producer and seeing the same thing. There is something weird going on with this corn and can't put my finger on it. Have some tassels showing up and some corn 3 foot tall yet in the same feild. We were extremly wet then turn off and blast furnace for 10 days. Thinking corn might look good from road but walking out in it might surprise to the downside. Time will tell I guess.
