Subject: RE: spray tips to use when "breezy"

Northern Alberta
I agree that MOST of the time it is unwise to spray in 20MPH+ winds but there are times when it is fine. We have been having a lot of wind (as usual) this year and I bounce around doing direction friendly fields. When the wind is from the north I do fields that either have no crop to the south or the same crop to the south. When the winds change to the west, we tackle the fields that are "west wind friendly). IO have not had to spray in 20MPH+ winds this year but would have in such instances. If I have a flat field with a different crop down wind (other than. peas)and the crop is about to stage out an the winds are 20MPH, I WILL spray it but take extra cautions to prevent off target issues but I do NOT like it. I have said it MANY times, there is more to spraying in. the wind than nozzle selection but nozzle selection is certainly one.
